One of the buff orps was killed by a possum on Thursday. Rest in peace, Puffball.

On a happier note This morning I found a black copper maran egg in the nest box with a RIR egg.
Which ever black copper maran laid the egg it was her first!

The Chicks above have now started laying and two of them even went Broody!
Now we have a second generation of chicks living with us and they are soooo cute!

Yesterday my dad and I went to the Backyard Poultry Event at Tractor Supply Co. We bought 6 ameraucana chicks. They are most likely 5-6 weeks old and they were cheep for their age. We got them for only $2.50 each! Now I have 23 chickens 2 ducks and 1 dog!
