Baby Chicks

Can anyone tell for sure what kind of chicks I have?

Welcome to BYC! The top one looks like a Blue Laced Red Wyandotte chick and the bottom one looks like a like a Barred Rock chick (if it is it will have a single comb, if it turns out to have a rose comb, it's a Dominique). Good luck with your flock.

Based on the pictures you just posted while I was posting the above message, I think it's safe to say it is a Barred Rock chick.

Sorry for any confusion but the chicks pictured are a new generation of chicks. Well 7 of them are, the seven hatched under two broody hens and are barnyard mixes. The other six we bought from the backyard poultry event at Tractor Supply and are Ameraucanas. The others before where a blrw and a barred rock.

I hope you feel glad you signed up! In our flock we have great people and it is always great to have a new member:) In our flock, we have no pecking order!

By the way, not saying that you will do anything bad, but no fowl play

Those chicks are so cute!

Thanks to both of you! Butter is almost 4 years old and we got him as a puppy on my moms birthday in the middle of a snow storm and kept him in the house for a while.
