So I have a broken kegerator that I was thinking of turning into a cabinet incubator.....Only I have no Idea!!
What do I need, and what do I need to do? I may be able to talk my dad into making it but I may need to do it myself.

I call mine "Death Row" because that is where the excess roosters are located. So far I have only had one problem. They picked on the leghorn rooster, who previously was a top "dog", he had to go to camp early. Other than that, just changing the pecking order. It took about two weeks and...
i agree with everyone else, just give it time. If they did lay a XL egg at this age, they would die. they simply can't pass an egg that big yet, they will when they get older and their pelvic bones expand. these little eggs work well for burgers or toad in the hole toast.
My problem with a hill was not erosion but water run off. Mine packed the dirt down so much that nothing runs down hill but water. I have had problems with rain water flooding my coop.
What walmart are you shopping at? mine def. doesnot have chicken feed.

I'm going to plant lady godiva pumpkins next year for the naked pumpkin seeds they produce. I figure I can feed the girls the...
I was watching the Fabulous Beekman Boys and they said on there that Martha gives her birds vodka right before she has them killed to relax them. It is supposed to keep the meat from tensing up. Anyone tried this? Does this mean you wouldn't have to let them rest?

I think you might be thinking of ayam cemani, or swedish black hens. Those are (like you said) really hard to get ahold of. You might be able to get a dark skinned meat bird by crossing a silkie rooster to a cornish cross hen (Im not sure if it would work or not though)
Oh No!!! a...
if you take the mesh from a window screen you can cut a circle to fit just inside the rim of your waterer. I could just fit one line of marbles in mine, or those gem things they use in floral arrangements that are flat on one side.
