Yes Yes Yes! I have several friends who have been waiting for something like this in Nebraska, and itis so close to us. You can bet we will be there, (hopefully on my weekend off) so I can go the whole time. Please keep me posted.
I am back in Nebraska after 13 years of living in Mississippi. I was born and rasied in good ol Nebraska! I had to sell all my chickens before moving so will be starting over and can't wait. I am now in the process of finding chickens to start with. It is good to be HOME!
Just moved back to Nebraska from Mississippi. I had to sell my all my chicken's before moving. I am looking for pullets or laying hens to get back to startng a new flock. I thought I would see what is available here before starting over with chicks.
Just wormed my chickens and I know you can not eat eggs for 2 weeks so can you cook them and feed them back to the chickens? I just hate to throw them all away.
I also love the birds I got from James last week! Went to get a few come home with 10 ha ha! Got 7 pulletts and 3 roosters, blues, blacks, and splashes. They are adjusting fine and seem to like their new home. Getting aquainted with the rest of the brood. Beautiful birds. Thanks James:)
I sure wish I could take them all, but I am a little afraid of the babies as I really do not have a place to separate them from the older chickens. What do you have left of the larger ones? I would be able to come your way Friday or Saturday whatever is convenient for you?
Marie I would gladly...
Do you have any left? I live only about an hour and half away and have been lookingfor some of these. I have been out of town so just saw the post. I would love to have a few of these birds.
Hang in there. I intergrated 12 starter pullets with my 13 others in October. At first there was alot of chasing and pecking by the older crew but after a few days they settled down and by the weeks end things were fine. They just need to go through pecking order to find their place in the...
I recently intergrated 12 younger pullets (about 14 weeks old) with my older hens. The older hens were not very nice at first keeping the young ones in the coop and chasing them for about a week (pecking order thing I'm sure), then things settled down nicely. Now they get along fine with an...
Ewesheep, I want on the list for chicks or started chicks when available. PLEASE put me on as I have never hatched but would love some blue orp chicks when available. Thanks in advance:)
But to find a GOOD roo is sometimes hard to do. I had to cull my previous roos due to not being GOOD roos, and I miss having a roo, but the hens were much to stressed. I hope ot find a GOOD roo this spring.
