It definitely is still available, they are laying like crazy! I've been getting 100% fertility lately, with about a 90% hatch rate in the incubator, and a week ago a broody hen hatched 100%. Cute little chicks, lots of different colors! :)
Just wanted to say that I received my order of 1/2 welsummer and 1/2 marans, and could not be any more pleased with the beautiful dark eggs and excellent packing job. The eggs are in perfect condition! And thank you so much for the extras! I am looking forward to hatch day! :)
Mine on BLRW! :-) Offer 6+ easter egger and/or huge brown eggs from golden comets, a barred rock, and a buff orpington with a gorgeous EE rooster. Have my first round of hatching eggs due in 3 days, about to go in lockdown now! I set 11 of the green eggs, only 1 was clear.
I have eggs running out of my ears!!! I set 18 of these 2 weeks ago along with my BLRW eggs and had only 1 clear. I have a free-ranging flock that consists of 24 hens and 2 gorgeous young roosters. 17 of the hens are golden comets, there is one barred rock, and the rest are Easter Eggers. I will...
Hello all, I recently got a mini fridge through Craigslist that doesn't work. I am starting the process of turning it into an incubator, but I'm not really sure how to configure it. I'm using an STC-1000 thermostat and a light fixture that holds 2 light bulbs to heat it. I also have a double...
Hi everyone! First of all, this is my first time selling on the 24 hr auction, so hopefully I'm doing this right :) I'd like to offer 6+ BLRW eggs. I have 1 rooster and 4 hens that are healthy and about 1 yr old. I just candled eggs that were set 5 days ago from this flock, and they are...
Anyone interested in doing a side swap with me? I'm interested in standard size OEs and EEs, welsummer and/or marans, mixes are fine of course. I just want more variety of eggs in my laying flock! I can trade eggs from my mixed flock- one huge black Easter Egger rooster, a red EE/golden comet...
Yay, thanks! =D Now for my offer. 3 roosters are- 2 big black EEs with pretty silver markings on their wings, necks, and tails, and one Buff Orpington. Hens are- buff orpington and beautifully marked EE mutts, as well as 3 colorful mutts that I have no idea what breeds are in them. All are...
Oh man. I'll take them... if you can wait and ship them March 12-13 or so? I only have one incubator so I can only run one bunch at a time and I already have eggs coming from the March/Easter swap. So if it works out for me to throw yours in there with that bunch, I'll be very happy to have them...
Long story short, we had a batch of about 10 meat chickens that were ready to go (almost 9 weeks old), that were in a A-frame type tractor with hardware cloth walls. Something (still haven't figured out what) pulled the hardware cloth off the side a little, and somehow made a hole THROUGH it...

That's a great idea! Thanks. I have also been considering putting a wire floor on it, but one with large holes so they can still dig in the dirt for bugs and grass. Would that work? It probably wouldn't do a very good job at keeping small diggers out though And in my area, we have...
[/quote=Riffecreek]I'd like to report that my eggs from happyhens are hatching.. 3 out so far with a lot more zipping and pipped!!
Yay!! Keep me posted!
I am starting a hoop coop tractor today. It is going to be used for our 50 meat chicks that arrived yesterday morning . They are already stinking the house up, so I want this done soon and get them outta my basement! Anyway, I was looking at these plans- http://www.plamondon.com/hoop-coop.html ...
