I have hatched a three legged chick

The name Trinity was actually a suggestion on this thread and it just seemed to fit her. We had a cat named Tripod, (leg was stepped on by a steer), so It was taken.

I have hatched a three legged chick

I was very worried about the other chicks and then as Trinity grew, other chickens, picking at her extra leg also. It has never seemed to be a problem. She is not a "boss" but she never has been one that any of the others ever picked on. The two olive are Trinity's eggs. The brown is...

There is a certain pitch that only kids and young teens can hear. Wonder if it is something along those lines.

Abandoned kittens aren't growing well... PICTURES

They need fed. Give them watered down kitten food or start them on canned kitten food. They will eat it. I have fed 3 week old abandoned kittens softened food and they were fine. You can also give them milk over top of the dry food. Regular will work or if you have it I like the Pro Nurse...

Cat behavior question *Kitten mauled* His decision, more stitches

Wow!! just read this thread---not easy at all! Hope the kitten is doing better. I am a huge animal lover (any kind), can't stand the thought of putting an animal down really unless it was intended for food in the first place. We have always had cats (house and barn) and they are on their...

    My hens have stopped laying

If you use the nipple waterers check on them. Know this sounds crazy, but our watering system clogged up very slowly. They appeared to be working but if you really checked they would stop dripping. My egg production kept going down and there were no other signs. Evidently just getting enough...

    Early Candling Question

Definately be patient. Sometimes you will have that fast developing easy to see through egg and sometimes the shell is a little thicker than you think and until they grow larger you will not be able to see. I always wait to judge at 10 days, but if I have the time I too still peek early.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to check out "Pig" this evening. His name is Pig because he hangs out in my farrowing barn with my sows and babies. He is very sweet and loves to be held. I am so glad I caught this thread, now at least I know where to start. I am trying to decide what I am...

Just done bumblefoot surgery - advice/reassurance please!

I have a roo with a very swollen foot, hot to touch. He does walk on it. He is missing a toenail but there is no other signs of an injury. I am googling bumble foot now. Could this be my problem? I gave 1/4cc of Penn day before yesterday. Ok, just looked. He does have a red spot between the...

I am considering this CUP TYPE WATERER - ANY COMENTS?

The chickens can swish water out of it, also they do get dirty. I love the nipple drip waterers. Hardley ever have any evidence of water underneath. Also stay nice and clean---forever. No more chores

Dumb fox cub tried to eat terrier...now dead (pic)

Wow!!! What a story! I have been having loses to red fox all spring and summer. We have tried everything to trap or snare them. They are known as the Sly Fox for a reason! We have managed to shoot two, caught in the act, but I hear them every night so we are dealing with many. We will...

    Trouble with EE eggs
