    Built the platform for the rain water collection off the coop. More water for the chickens and the garden! Once the weather clears I’m going to plumb it all together.

    I used my router to cut out the entrance to the laying boxes. Added a handle and locking mechanism. We ended up doing this at just the right time as the oldest chicken started laying the other day.

    I was finally able to put a lid on the litter box. I knew it would be this month that they started letting. One started laying very small legs. It is time they have their laying box available. Next to ad is a handle, lock, and some gas struts.

    I decided to throw the hardware cloth on the top just to enclose the run so the chickens could at least enjoy the space. I can wait for the cover.

    I don’t know who needs to hear this but, hardware cloth is a two person job. I did it with a speed clamp and it took me all day and half of my sanity. I’ve now got to wait on the roofing to be found.
