Blue Slate Hen X Heritage Bronze Tom

The bronze hen was from a bronze/royal palm. The babies have to be from the slate; as the bronze hen had her own nest in our neighbors yard. I only have a bronze tom; I was trying to explain where the hens came from. I am friends with the lady I got them from and her only tom was a royal palm.

Blue Slate Hen X Heritage Bronze Tom

I know the hen isn't 100% blue slate. Her mom was a blue slate, tom was a royal palm. I didn't hatch her but got her from a friend. All of her babies were either bronze or blue slate after the hens. Only tom was a royal palm.

Blue Slate Hen X Heritage Bronze Tom

I just hatched three of my turkey eggs. I had six of them, however the other three didn't make it unfortunatly. I was wondering what I should be expecting from a heritage bronze tom, and a blue slate hen. One came out blue slate, and two a bronze looking color. Is it just random? Or sexlinked? I...

    Eye infection help

He has not been around the one who had the respiratory infection at all. Separate sides of the yard, and anyway the article said its unlikely to transfer through cage to cage.

    3-4 Month Old Serama Hen/Roo?

I've been told this is definitely a serama hen, and then I have been told it looks more like a roo. I swear It squatted for me today which is why I started to question it! He was sold to me as a roo, and he does have a bigger comb than the other one that he came with, but they're from different...

    Super Pale Faced Rooster

I just got a new frizzled rooster from a lady I've known for a while. When I got him, he was bright red. He was living with 17 other roosters before he moved here - I havent heard him crow once. Yesterday I noticed he was starting to look a little pale in the face, and today well hes almost...

    Thinking about winter ...straw?

All of my birds love the straw and hay . I throw a chunk in all the runs every once and a while. I always lose the quail in it, I sprinkle food in it for the chickens to forage in. I know when it gets rained on or snowed on, it will act like carpet. It's not fun pulling it up. And it stinks real...

Chicks dying right before hatch/after internal pip

I have three different incubators for constant incubation. Ones a little giant, and two are farm innovators. I keep the temperature at 99.5. There are auto turners. I have hatched probably hundreds of chicks at this point but these two hatches are concerning me. I dont mess with humidity in...

Chicks dying right before hatch/after internal pip

This is my second batch of chicks that have died right before hatch. There was about 15 eggs in both hatches, however both times the majority of them weren't my eggs which made me feel better. Barred bantam cochins. The first hatch I didnt have much hope for, 15 out of 36 eggs started...

    URGENT RESPATORY ISSUE? MUCUS/DROWSY

Okay. Her eye hasn't crusted shut any more. Thankfully. I didnt put anything in her eye because she started acting better. Today she went up the stairs by herself. But then she fell down them... progress. She doesn't stay in her box anymore. We've moved her to a kennel. She's still not eating...
