I am at a loss. I anticipated that I would be farther along in my egg production than I am now. I know they will lay on their own good time, but this is getting a bit odd.
I do have one interesting note to add. One of my girls actually lays her eggs while roosting and then the egg rolls down...

The second to last picture is what all my other "hens" look like. All of them are 15 weeks.
I know I should have gotten rid of some of the chickens when the hatchery sent nearly twice my order, but now they are my girls and I want to make this work.
When the weather turns and they are free tanging it will get easier.
I am thinking of a remodel of my interior. I am going to place my roost bar (2" x 4" x 14") to run down the middle of my coop near the apex of the roof.
I am thinking of building a conveyor poop board right underneath it and have it dump outside my end door into a wagon.
Thoughts?
I will try to find them homes. Not sure how much luck I will have, but I’ll give it a go. If I can’t, at what point is it optimal to butcher them to eat?
I made the decision to euthanize her based on a great amount of information and advice. Wasn’t easy, but needed to be done.

Install my poop boards right above the nesting boxes? That will be a ceiling to the boxes of about 13-14" and a width of about 32" and a length of 60", is that enough for the hens to get to the boxes? I plan then to put roosting boards (across the width of the coop as are the ones at the other...
