The one on the right is not a pure bred Barred Rock - wrong leg color, and very muddy barring. It is likely a cross of a Barred Rock rooster over some other kind of hen with white feet.
Our Barred Rocks lay large eggs, and they are lovely birds. We recently got a new line, from show quality stock, and the teenagers look very good, they are 22 weeks on the pictures.
.
I felt the same in 2014. Now we are moving into large acreage, and so far have about 150 chickens and 15 ducks (downsized for winter, LOL). We wanted 6 laying hens for our family, and bought 15 straight run baby chicks back in 2014. It quickly went out of hand ;-)
Now we are seriously...
Most of Olive Eggers are based on Black Copper Marans, who lay jumbo sized eggs. So typically most of the olive eggers lay very large eggs. I have an Olive Egger based on Welsummer - she lays medium size eggs.
I also notice that OE based on BCM and AMeraucana are not very good layers - we get...
And these are the eggs from our Cream Legbar x Barred Rock pullets.
The pullet and cockerel picture - I guess thay could be called either Easter Eggers or Olive Eggers
