    a hawk probably wouldnt go inside a hen house but if the hens were scattered everywhere when you get home this could be it. I had a huge problem with hawks with chickens missing and such so i have orchard netting all across my pens.

    I had this issue once- the chickens had been fine for ages then some nights they would be scarred to go into their coop. I would go and check and nothing in there what so ever.
