Screening is almost 2/3 done. I started with the hardest wall and moved to the progressively easier work as I went. I need the scaffolding out of here tomorrow as the guy is charging me an arm and a leg for it. There's no way I would have gotten a screening up without it though.
Definitely the large flake. It doesn't fly all over the place when wings flap. My flock of almost 30 birds flies down onto it all the time without an issue.
The finer shavings are more dusty than the large. But the large does become dusty as it breaks down from the scratching and with age.

You can use the Rescue 911 as you would any other electrolyte or probiotic. Give it for a day or two during times of extreme stress. Otherwise they should have fresh clean water.
The feather damage is only going to rectify itself when the birds...

I just read through your other two threads about this hen and I am of the opinion that whatever is wrong with her, it is not treatable. She's just reached her end of life. I would monitor her for quality of life and when it looks like she's no longer enjoying her life but...
