I am looking for hatching eggs of Sumatras, silver gray Dorkings, and rose comb light brown leghorns all large fowl. I have 4-hers wanting to grow out their own birds to show next year and would appreciate it if these birds were of good or show quality. Name your price and hopefully we can work...
So glad to hear that! Haha I just read your other reply before this one. I'm glad she is a CLB after all. They are only 6 months old at the moment so hoping they will change a little in color like you stated above. Thank you so much!
Hmm thank you for the information. I'm a bit sad that I don't have a "pair" but they do well together. Eventually I may get a CLB hen and/or LB rooster for them. Wish the breeder would have told me that when I bought them. I honestly think he just wanted to get rid of the female.
I recently bought a pair of Dutchs from a breeder. The male is a Blue Cream Light Brown and the female is a light brown. What should I get offspring-wise out of these two varieties?
The breeder said the hen was a light brown and the rooster is a Blue cream light brown. Is this correct? If so what will I get out of this pair colorwise?
My first sumatra chick out of my pair. It's looking like a cockerel. Starting to get spurs and the hackle feathers seem more male than female.
The bottom of his feet are very yellow. Any opinions are welcome :)
At my county fair the birds were judged seperately but points were still attributed to the bird's cleanliness during showmanship. Had a great time and placed third in showmanship and in the skillathon. We did egg grading, parasites, meat cuts, and a few other things.
