That's one of the reasons I love this forum. I don't have to worry about what my kids will read here. It's all about chickens and the people who love them.
My favorite rooster "Big Boy" (pic in my profile) died last week. He was one of my original chickens. He became sick and no matter what I tried he never recovered.
We are a very sad household. The only good thing is that I do have one of his sons to carry on for him.
I had this happen recently and had to remove my original broody hen and place her in a separate place. The other hen would not leave her alone and would trample the eggs/chicks.
Our local store has been out since Easter.
I can see I will not get a 12 step program here to help with my problem either. Hubby must not find out about this place. shhhh
We have a fire pit in our back yard and have them all the time. The men in my family are "fire bugs".
It's legal in Florida as long as we aren't experiencing a dry spell and there isn't a burn-ban in place.
I love your fire pit.
That would be awesome except I am heading to St. Augustine tomorrow. I probably won't be home until really late tomorrow night.
It would be so cool if we could all get together. Especially to look at/buy babies!
Chickenzoo, I will PM you my phone number, OK?
Yeah. I don't think I'd be trusting that website.
I would stick with My Pet Chicken since so many have experience there and it's a legitimate site. My daughter went to a site like the other one mentioned and nearly killed my other computer with malware/adware.
