Must live in Western MA area and be able to pick up the rooster. No shipping or deliveries. He has begun to crow and we can't keep him in our neighborhood. Also the hens are pecking at him, and we want to find him a good home!

Thanks. It has taken a while for me to develop my positive attitude, but I swear things always seem better when I am positive about them. And my family is lucky, it has been the summer of, "close calls." The coop is rebuilt, so that my chickens have a safe place to ride out Irene.

It's crazy how much our lives have been changed this year due to weather. I mean everyone in our area, it has changed us all, we are all a lot more on edge since the tornadoes. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. My family (animals included) are all so lucky. A lot of bad things...

My husband read somewhere to keep them in for a week, or even up to two weeks. We were able to do this since the chickens first went out in May when the weather was not so hot. We have never had a problem with them going in at night, never had to put them in ourselves. Now every night...

Lazy J Farms Feed & Hay :

Keep your birds on your property with an appropriate fence then you won't have to worry about her being mad about the chickens eating her plants. After all, they are YOUR birds so the should stay on YOUR property.
Pretty simple, really.
