Man I hope not. 90% of my hens are EEs. I just wanted some new breeds to add to the mix. Plus, EE wasn't listed on the bin so I certainly wasn't expecting them.
We were hatching out some eggs that I bought from someone else. Most of them seemed to have developed well by lock down. I'd say 9 out of 12 were viable.
Only 2 hatched. I kept the incubator on, kept the humidity up but there wasn't so much as a pip from the other 7. I kept it on for 7 days...
I think you may be talking about my buff brahmas. The ones that I'm specifically asking about are these:
Tater Tot (this is the one I fear may be a cockerel)
Muffin:
And Dawn:
These babies are between 3&4 weeks old to my knowledge. They had some of their feathers when we bought them. But they were in a mystery bin and I don't know what breeds they are. Best guess from me is one gold laced wyandotte, one red blue laced wyandotte, and one speckled sussex cockerel. What...
This flock hatched March 29 of this year.
Last night when we went to take care of the chickens, we noticed our runt, Eleanor, sitting by herself, not really moving.
We picked her up and she barely responded, her eyes would flutter open, but that was about it. We checked her crop and her vent...
This is probably a foolish question, but is this the right product?

:( This is our first time dealing with this. We thought our chickens (particularly the younger ones) had stopped laying due to the change in weather.
But when checking them out this evening, we found worms in their droppings. They hadn't been acting lethargic nor eating more than usual.
So -...
Not sure if this is the right forum or not, but here goes.
My sister works for a state park. About a week ago, someone just dropped off a rooster and they've been trying to catch him since. She said he seems to be the size of my full grown rooster (so not sure if he's a cockerel or a rooster)...
Just a quick update - Hedwig is still going strong. She has actually grown quite a bit. Originally, I would say she was about 1/3 the size of her brooder mates, now it is much closer to 3/4 the size. I guess she was just a runt? She's got her feathers in and is just as active and playful as the...
And the history that's taught during Black history month and LGBTQIA are more so centered around how these communities overcame and are overcoming barriers, which, don't get me wrong is great, but there needs to be discussions in the schools about WHO placed the barriers, why and why it is...
No worries there. I don't have any answers and I don't pretend to know God's mind nor do I really think the Bible is an accurate representation since it was written by men with their own agendas.
I really like docteurmccoy's explaination and feel like that fits me pretty well!
Okay, I'm going to read the rest of this thread (hopefully tonight) but I read the first 30 pages.
I hope it's okay if I hang here. I checked out the Christian threads and, while I am Christian, I do not feel like I belong there.
I believe in science.
I support my LGBTQIA sisters and...
No, unfortunately. We have a rooster, and a cockerel we got when we got 4 "pullets", he was mixed in. Plus another one of our hatchlings is a cockerel and now these two.
And OF COURSE, my two daughters who picked out two of our hatchlings that are turning out to be cockerels are the daughters...
Okay, so one of our hatchlings I am 100% sure is a cockerel. He's not pictured here. But these two, I'm questionable on. Well, questionable isn't quite the right word, hopeful, maybe?
Camilla - I'm fairly sure she is a Cameron because (and I don't know if you can see it in the picture or not)...
