I have started making homemade pasta out of my eggs.
3 cups AP flour
3 eggs
1/2 cup of warm water
Mix together using a fork. Knead and then Let it rest for 30 minutes-4hours. Roll out and cut into needed shapes.
This takes quite a bit of arm work but if you start making pasta often you...
I have a 9 month old Welsummer who has been laying pretty regularly (about 4/wk) for the last 3 months. In the last 2 weeks I have not gotten any eggs from her and she is no longer squatting. Any idea of what is going on? Thanks.
Why do chickens have egg songs? If chickens were in the wild I would imagine they would not want to announce an egg to any would be predators.
My GLW does an egg song when she is going into the nest and then after she has layed an egg 30 minutes later. Is this common?
Just my curious...
Let's not forget the chicken math most discussed on this site: How many chickens for x square footage? How big of a coop do I need? That involves area.
My coop was built on a slight incline of land. I needed to find out how much I needed to dig out on one side to make a level foundation...
America's Test Kitchen found that AP four worked just as well as Bread Flour in their bread recipes. I think it was in the Christmas Baking edition. I think your Challah is beautiful. Good job.

Don't worry. I am pretty handy with things but the doors were the hardest part. You could try to buy a premade door or try a gate kit. Show some pics. Maybe we can help with a visual. Good luck.
Traditionally, Wagyu beef is grass fed and finished on brewery grain. I would be curious if meat chickens tasted different if fed this over corn or regular feed.
That's what I though but I just wanted to make sure. The cockerals are being processed this weekend and I didn't want to take out a pullet by accident. Thanks everyone.
I do want to ask. Why does his comb look so different? I have 6 BO Cockerals, 5 look like the bottom one in regards to...
