Hey, your ground looks fine! We're all poultry folks, we get it.
I use a hanging bucket with little nipples. The chickens took to it right away, and because it's lidded, they never get the water dirty. I bought mine, but I know you can buy the parts and make it. Because it's hanging, it...
Hi, all! Sure am enjoying my girls. It seems that they like me, too! Little Stevie here also helps floss my teeth. But don't tell my husband, he might not like that! Hee, hee.
Seriously, I was trying to shovel snow out of their run, because they don't like to walk on soft snow if it's more...
I'm posting this in the "Raising Baby Chicks" forum because that may be where newbies look first- that's what I did. I want to report that my 4 baby chicks, which I got on May 1, 2018, are now 4 wonderful, fun, friendly and healthy chickens. Yes, having healthy and happy chickens is possible...

Wow! You have a rocking set up! Looks like you've made it great for yourself and the chickens. I won't show mine these pictures, they'd get jealous. LOL
I have 13 chickens.
My favorite is Lucky, the sole survivor of a shipment of chicks.
My Buff Orp Ruthie is the largest chicken.
Why don't you have Nubian Goats, BantammChick?
Thanks everyone, for your replies! Good to know this is such normal behavior. I guess I'll avoid pink hoodies (oh, I don't have a rooster!) and I'll leave the false eyelashes inside. I don't mind the pecking, but I hate it when the try to stand in the pooper scooper, and all the poop falls...
Just curious about this behavior, which is fairly new. When I go into the run to clean up, visit my girls or whatever, the chickens flock around me, and peck at my clothes and even shoes. They'll stand on my feet to get at my pants. No harm to me, but I'm curious- is this typical behavior?
