The rain has brought mud and my chickens have mud on their feathers, and on their feet. The mom in me wants to wash them, but i do not know how it would effect them putting them outside all wet. it looks the worst on my white leghorns, and delawares, and the tops of my black crested polish. If...
I have 2 puppy heaters from my incubator. they heat to 99 degrees. I am not so worried about their egg boxes Aas i keep pine shavings under astraw. but i am real worried about their waterers becoming frozen up.
I have candled my eggs even during lockdown though you are not supposed to, nothing happened. beware though that there is not a lot of movement as you get closer to hatch date. and i put the egg back in the bator exactly like I took it out by marking it. I thinp lightly on the egg to see if...

This is incorrect information. use a HOT towel to wipe them. cool with allow stuff thru the pores. HOT HOT HOT at least hotter than the temp of the egg. I cant believe anyone would send dirty eggs to anyone let alone a new person.
Thats pretty disgusting to send dirty eggs. try to leave the bloom intact as much as possible. use sand paper to get the much off if possible. I am so sorry for you this is not normal for receiving eggs via mail.
Do you have your bator ready to go? temp should be 99 to 100 degrees with...
3 seramas and 2 pullet eggs hatched out and are doing great. I know my temps are right where i want them, but they are early anyway. I have 15 more eggs to go
maybe it is tired and resting.. you can try to help it, but you will likely make it bleed to death by helping. make sure humidity is very very high and your bator temp is abt 95 to 97
I cant believe how stinky that green slime was. I pray i didnt hurt my eggies by washing them. I did wash in wanter warmer than the egg. ty for replies
I removed the other eggs and bleached the turner and the bottom of my bator. green slime got on a few eggs, but i washed them. Is there anything else i should do?
hatch them and sell the chicks.... your selling point is the most people do buy chicks in the springtime, and then wait till august to have fresh laid eggs. If you buy chicks NOW you will have fresh eggs when others are just getting their chickies...... hatch as many as you can!!!
I use DYNE high calorie liquid dietary supplement (made by trophy) for all my animals to make meds taste better, or for a little treat that is good for them.

good job. if you have to do it ever again. use chlorhexadine to clean the are prior to cutting your 3 layers. I didnt read the whole thread, i hope you rinsed the crop well with normal saline after you pulled the crap out I saw where a guy used a turkey bastor I would use a large syringe...
I wouldnt take any chances sweetie i would clean it up and let it set for 24 months. do your chickens free range? you can bring stuff in on your tires . good luck
