I also did it when my broody came off of her nest early last spring. Hatched 2 of the four remaining eggs in a dog crate with a basket and a meat thermometer.

I think my hatch is over as well. 20 hatched out of 29 at lockdown. Leaving the rest in there for a day or so before I start the next round. 1 dozen RIR, 1 dozen Silkies, and 1 1/2 dozen Ameraucanas. Picking them up Saturday and setting Sunday night/Monday morning. So it will be on to the...

Fair enough. I'm also selling this batch. I never thought about even selling hatching eggs until someone asked yesterday. Seems like a no-brainer since my incubator is busy at the moment. So I'm listing all the ones I'm getting for hatching eggs since the fridge is full. Going to pick up 4 dozen...

The woman that owns my local pet store swears by it, although I've never used it. Says she gets it every month with her feed for the new ones coming in. I think she says she uses it for her turkeys also. Yes it shouldn't be too hard to divide it into the quantity that you need.

Hey guys sorry I haven't been posting. Been REALLY busy. 17 out of 29 with one more pipped so far, here's a couple pictures, then off to find something else to do so I'm not sitting in front of the incubator all day.

I have a couple hours early before, but never a couple days. Not sure how that would work out. If you decide to, be sure to post your findings at the end of the hatch.

So you're agreeing that the studies of GMO v. Non is completely biased? Extensive independent studies have proven that the industrial studies have huge inclusions through major parts of the studies and the information given from the evidence involved.

No problem, good luck, glad I could be of assistance.

Try leaving a couple golf balls or ping pong balls in the nesting box for her. She'll get the idea pretty soon.
  19. The Colonel

    Are these roosters?

How old is she? As far as I can tell, she looks like a 5-7 month old bantam pullet, and with a comb that red, I'm surprised she hasn't given you any eggs yet.

    Are these roosters?

Yes sorry about that. I mean point of lay.
