    Unusual quail hatch

Thank you for that reply. And I guess paranoid is the word that I have been. These birds have only been laying for about 6 weeks. We have another 72 that have started to hatch tonight so I'm anxious to see how this goes. I did read that it was okay to take the dried off chicks out about every 12...

    Unusual quail hatch

I have as well. I was amazed at the length of time, but the I can't be sure how long they had been hatched. His quail have just really gotten into a regular laying pattern so I guess I was surprised they were so strong. He has gotten several soft shell and 2 double yolks.

    Unusual quail hatch

My son in law is fairly new to hatching coturnix quail. His incubator was full of 89 that had made it to lockdown. Where do I find female button quail

I have had my husband pay attention to them today and he says there is no sign of fighting. Possibly it is because we built a duplex outside for if I ever do get some females. This pen is on the ground with grass and lots of hiding places. Maybe they haven't adjusted to the move?

Where do I find female button quail

That is so sad about your lone male. I wonder if someone could tell me if 2 males alone together would possibly fight during the day. I am gone from home for 10 hours a day. The last 2 nights I have come home to find my white button hiding and I can tell he has been there for awhile because the...

Thank you for the valuable info. I do think for sure I have 2 males. I checked craigslist last night and found a breeder that lives 5 hours from me. They will sell the female 10 week old for $10 yeah. Then I also messaged The Finch Farm and they MIGHT sell me 2 but with shipping the cost is...
