Our bubs get lots of lettuce (iceberg, which yes gives them runny poo, but they're ducks so I don't see the problem), kitchen scraps from my waitress job which is usually cooked peas corn and pumpkin. They love peas and tomato. Definitely their favourites. However they do not enjoy carrot...
I have a client with a native duck (was rescued and raised) that will bite. Feet, hands, pants. But apart from him, no other ducks i know will attack feet. My ducks, or any I look after, will just run away and give me a wide berth if I go near them. If you catch my goose though, she will chew on...
Not sure if it's laying it's own eggs, but definitely sitting on some. Ive definitely seen its weenie as it mated with one of our girls, but it also let's out other boys mate with it too. When I get home from work I'll get a full picture.
This is the best photo I could get sorry. Math is the he/she in question (the white one) next to the lovely Conrad Percival. Math is definitely old enough to have the full red carruncles like conrad but he seems to only look like a girl. He has big feet as you can see, but he is very small...
We have a duck who is a hermaphrodite. Well I think so anyway, he/she is not much bigger than a female, sits on eggs, but has a weenie. My other half on the other hand thinks he/she is just a very very small he. Has anyone else had experience with a very small muscovy drake?
I'll try to get a...
I have a hermaphrodite Muscovy! It has a little weenie, but nests on eggs. Looks like a girl, but hisses like a boy. Maybe yours is a hermaphrodite too?
Is it possible to have a hermaphrodite duck? We are very puzzled by one of our Muscovies at the moment. He/she is bigger than the girls, but much smaller than the boys. Big feet, hisses like a boy, head shaped like a boy but has girl shaped caruncles. He/she is old enough to be able to visually...
This is my girl Rockstar with my first lot of home-hatched ducklings. Unfortunately while no one was home, she wanted to play with them and got too rough
I know that lots of geese get these skin rolls between their legs on their stomach, but I'm concerned about our goose. She has one large skin fold, which is fine, but she is starting to get rolls over her legs. Is this normal or are we feeding her too much? I don't want an overweight bird!
