Thanks for the info! I may have to do that IF another one dies. I do not believe its something in the yard. I have a specific area that they roam free in that I believe to be hazard free...but I could be wrong. I'll double check to make sure. I do wish I could have received more responses
Good morning fellow BYC friends! This post is in hopes that one of you may be able to solve the mystery that is happening here with my hens. About a month and a half ago I went out to let my girls out from there coup and I found one of them dead. Was NOT a predatory death. This hen had no signs...

Thanks for the info. Oops I've lightly shook 2. oops! I won't shake anymore. I'm trying to find the strongest light here at my house without having to spend any money. She's been there for 10 days plus!

Hello everyone,
Hopefully this question doesn't sound dumb to you all, but I'd like to know if there is a way to know whether or not eggs are fertile or not? See here is my problem...about 3/4 weeks ago one of my EE disappeared. I thought a chicken hawk got her or something, but after about a...

Oh one more question for you all. Would anyone happen to know of a great place to purchase egg cartons online for cheap. I sell the majority of my eggs and the place I have been using seems to be a bit pricey.
Wow! Thank you all for your quick responses. Glad to hear that there isn't anything seriously wrong with my girl. I too include oyster shells in their feed. Funny thing is, these sort of eggs always have a hard shell even without the oyster being added to her diet. I'm just glad she's healthy...
Want to know if anyone can tell me what this is that's on my egg? I'm thinking it's some sort of calcium build up, but really not sure if I'm correct? Should I be concerned about the well being of my EE? Why is this happening and how can I fix this problem? Thanks
Good evening everyone Could someone please tell me how long eggs can stay outside before they go bad? The reason I am asking this is because my 9 girls think they are Easter Bunnies...LOL! I happened to find a pile of 11 eggs today hidden away in my barn. My husband said he had checked that...
