    Best I could do—hard to get a clear shot on a squirming, dark-colored bird, on a cloudy day 😂 The pretty blue ear is a newish development on this one. The crest worries me a bit, but even the definite cockerel doesn’t really have streamers yet.

    Barring on Barred rocks is more defined. Cuckoo Marans barring is “blurred”. Also leg color, I think. Cuckoo Marans legs are white, sometimes with a black wash.
