Yes, this statement is correct. Not all Hatchery Mille Fleur D'uccles have beards or muffs. Some literally market them as "booted bantams" instead. Even without a beard, this breed is incredibly easy to tame and are friendly little bird who.are likely to go broody within a couple springs 🙂
Is her comb straight or pea (3 bumpy rows)? If pea comb, this may actually be a Buff Brahma Bantam which look very similar to Mille Fleur D'uccle Bantams when young.
Because Easter Eggers (EEs) are extremely common, and the pea comb type (small with 3 bumpy rows) and beard characteristics are dominant genes. This is why silkie and EE mixes are extremely easy to spot. Similar to red hair being rare and trumped darker hair in people as a concept 🙂
