    I like your thinking I wouldn't want to feed fish by products to chickens though.. this is due to the effects on egg taste

    If you got an order bird (6 weeks min) you could have maybe 1 shipped. He ships younger birds in groups of 10. You could order 10 easter egger and select your favorite. Then give the rest away or at cost

    In my opinion, with only the one very calm hen, you're probably fine. I would keep on eye on them for the first couple of days though.

    I think that anything is possible with the new bird. However, I know that children mimic their parents quite a bit so hopefully chickens do the same. Good luck with finding a chick.
