    This is exactly why I won't take my dogs to a dog park. A friend often invites me to one nearby but I know its a place where ppl sit around talking while their dogs runamok. Dogs don't need other dogs as much as we think they do. My dogs see plenty of dogs but there's no need for them to engage...

    Seriously, I have been abused by more owners with leashed dogs that I care to recall, and I'm at a big distance away from them. I see them coming - they look like they have a marlen, not a dog, at the end of the line. I stop throwing ball and call my dogs to me because I'm scared the handler...

    True service dogs were trained and issued for the legally blind? There's the slope to the irresponcible. My dog Edi is so amazing that she was hardly noticed at a wedding I took her to. I looked everywhere locally to get her certified K9 Citizenship Award and can find no one.

    I agree! It would not be hard for any local training club to be issued with the necessary regulations required to test a dog's public manners before handing out a licenced vest for their dog.
