    Pullet or Cockerel? Color is throwing me off. This is suppose to be a Pullet. I’ve never seen a Salmon Faverolle this dark, so it is making me nervous. About 5 weeks old, a little smaller than the other Pullets same age.

    I have a d’Uccle rooster same color with the exact same issue. He is housed with 2 hens so I am not sure what would cause this. Did yours ever clear up?

    Hoover’s website states that the Sapphire Olive Eggers are a hybrid and not perfect, and 5% will lay brown eggs. I’m guessing it may be a higher percentage than that, as my friend also just reported that her laid brown as well.
