I was just concerned bc my alpha rooster killed a very nice cockerel I had coming along. Surprised me. With 20-some-odd hens at the time I thiught there were enough for both of them. Guess I thought wrong.
I believe this means you cannot sell or give away any birds from your property, ever. You cannot go to bird shows. You need to keep a closed flock. You can purchase day-old chicks from a hatchery but once they are exposed to your property they too can become sick and/or become carriers.
I'm the odd one out. I think your cock-a-doodle-doodler is the silver bird, dead center in the first picture, facing the camera. A lot of comb showing, IMO. But I could be wrong. 🤷🏽♀️
This does sound like a lovely solution for Fred. This is the only thing that worried me a little:
Will this put him in contact with the other roosters? Will it put his flock in with the general population?
I would think this would work best if Fred and his flock stayed separate from the...

I'll have to cull these BA cockerels before the end of the month, I'm thinking. Since I'm off to NM the firstish of November.
At four months, will my baby cockerel be in danger from Rojo? He was pecking at them pretty good today at snack time, and that's new ...
Last week when I wore my nice black church slacks to church, by the time I got to church I was covered in dog hair! So today I wore a pair of shorts to church and changed into my good slacks when I got there. Am keeping the slacks in a plastic bag. Sent two dogs this week to PetSmart just to be...
Hey there Twist. I woulda said hey earlier but somebody spammed Granny's thread with a bunch of memes and I couldn't get a hey in sideways. Oh! That was you! :lau
