Any Mainers have any fertile eggs you'd be willing to sell? I'd like to hatch some chicks over New Years. Kids get a thrill out of it on winter break, and so do I. I'm located in Durham, willing to travel to get them.
My broody buff orp hen hatched these 15 RIR chicks one week ago. I have been fermenting their feed. They seem quite vigorous and in good health. Probably move them all to the outside coop in another week.
Got my barred rock, and a welsummer chick. Was very surprised to see the number and variety of chicks available at Longhorn in Buxton yesterday. I'll be getting chicks there from now on. Lots to choose from.
anyone interested in going in on a chick order from Meyer? I'm planning an order for delivery on Feb. 4th. I'm only getting 4 chicks so need more to get the 15 chick minimum. I'm in Durham, so anyone interested within a half hour radius please let me know.

I bought a 50lb bag of Nature's Best organic chick starter from Paris Farmers Union yesterday. I'm only getting 4 chicks this spring so will only need about half that bag, at most. I'm looking to sell the other half of the bag if anyone else is in a similar situation. Looking for $14 for the...
