    If you have a little electric space heater point it at the incubator and that will get the temp back up fast,.. I have had to do that before.

    I turned 11 bantam eggs 3 times per day by hand and just had 100% hatch rate.. 2 dies shortly after hatching and the 9 left are doing very well.

    thermometer?? WHat should i use??

    I ordered a Brinsea incubator thermometer .. extremely accurate but no hygrometer.

    Final Count.. 9 healthy and happy chickens. I called my aunt in Michigan where the eggs came from and apparently there was a Bantam Cochin Rooster in the chickens and I have 4 fuzzy leggers.

    I have a crazy aunt with a farm in michigan,.. I send all my extra quail and now I will send all my extra chickens to her. Just send them to my crazy aunt,... Craigs list is a good idea

    The chicks that hatched so far seem to have fuzz on the legs..... There were a couple silkie hens in this mix of chickens where I got the eggs,.. Is that a silkie trait?

    rotating

    You put them pointy end down and lean the egg carton from side to side,.. you can even put a block of wood in the incubator. Leaning the whole carton on either side each turning effectively turns the eggs from one side to the other.

    This is with a digital cam through the foggy glass due to humidity. I removed the shell real quick and added a warm sponge for extra humidity.
