Can you help my neighbor with this breed?

Hi All, My neighbor received a "pullet surprise" batch of day old chicks and they are now maybe a couple months old. This is the only breed I can't put my finger on... any ideas? Thanks for your help!

My Chickens layed 6 EGGS! (4 Hens)

Quote: Mine do this too... so funny! Mornings are always full of a crazy amount of egg songs... my girls will stand outside the hen house just standing there wailing, or should I say Cheering, the layer along

    Who laid this egg?

The north/south eggs look just like my RIR eggs. My BA lays a lighter brown... more like your BO eggs. Here are some of my RIR eggs. All my other hens have gone on strike.

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

Quote: I figured she was just working out her "kinks" so I wasn't too worried about it. Thanks for letting me know though, that's good to know!

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

Quote: Blood spots and MEAT??? Do you have a rooster? Has one of the hens been incubating the eggs? A broody hen (or hens) would also explain a sudden decline in egg production. Weird, right? No, no roosters, and no broodies.

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

Quote: My husband actually asked me if I thought this might be a possibility. I would hope not, but as others have suggested, I will be locking them up for a few days & will see if that is our problem.

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

...she sounds like my mother. I've almost had to bar her from my house because she won't stop telling me all the things I'm doing wrong, what I *should* be doing, and how much she is helping me. Hmmmmm...we're going to have to think of a way to rechannel her efforts into something more helpful...

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

Quote: I give them a good looking over every couple weeks, but I think I'll take a real close look to see if I can tell if moulting is the problem. It's possible my young RIR pullet could be moulting, but I don't include her in my "regular layer" counts. Thanks for the advice! Varmints are a...

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

Quote: I'm with Melody. Your neighbor sounds like a DREAM! I had to get a restraining order against our neighbor and his son for threatening me. They threatened the horses as well (and then something nasty happened to the horses.) The guy ended up convicted of violating a harassment restraint...

no eggs and an overbearing neighbor

All winter I was getting anywhere from 2-4 eggs from my 5 laying hens. This number turned to 1 or 2 and after a couple weeks 0. I have not changed anything in their routine/diet, so I'm bewildered. I have noticed recently that my nosey overbearing neighbor has bought a bag of scratch (she told...

    Egg bound or Internal laying?

I have a black australorpe who has not layed an egg for a few weeks. She is about 7-8 months old and started laying early january. I went to check the hens today for mites, etc, and noticed she had a large mass almost directly forward from her vent. It is not protruding, but rather when I gently...
