I am so glad that she seems happy at your home and flock! Thanks so much for the great updates! I sent a response but it is coming from my email since for some reason I still can't respond to you via PM.

Uzi-I tried to send you a PM but I wasn't able to but I was the seller of the Sumatra. I am so happy she found a good home. Please feel free to send me a message here on BYC or my email [email protected]. I can tell you what I know about her.
Just had to share a fun "goat selfie" as my son called it. We picked up our girls this past weekend with a large dog crate and tarp to protect the inside.
They are 9 months old. I have a call into my Vet and the breeder so I can get more info on how best to proceed. I have not dewormed my chickens and only plan to if needed. But I do have my horses on a year round Strongid treatment so was a little confused what to do for our goats. There is...
After some research, we ended up getting 2 doelings this past weekend. We got a PB Nubian and a Nubian/Saanan cross. Any thoughts about deworming? I was looking at this product on Hoegger and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts to share...
Ok, hoping some of the Ameraucana experts can weigh in. I have a young black Ameraucana that I was under the impression was a purebred and she just started laying but her egg is a light green NOT blue. Does this mean she isn't pure and is really an Easter Egger?
The first chicken is a Speckled Sussex and your 3rd appears to be a Barred Rock and Silver Laced Wyandotte. I am not as familiar with #2 and #5 but they look like bantams. Welcome to BYC.

Ok, I have a young pullet that I purchased from a friend. She thought it was a California White which I thought was suspect because the chick just didn't look like I expected. I had previously had an Austra White so assumed my CW chick would look similar. The pullet should be around 18 weeks but...
It is always possible. Is she showing any other signs? Squatting for me was the first real sign that the girls were about a week or so from laying. Besides the signs of maturity, my girls become very friendly before they laid their first egg. Jumping on my lap, etc. My sex linked girls...
My Black Sex Link lays a really nice large egg and I have 2 Jersey Giants and one lays a XLarge egg and the other lays the smallest egg in my mixed flock.
Based on my limited experiance, I think that it is too early to tell. My single combed babies tended to get bigger combs faster but it didn't indicate the gender. My gut says you have hope.
Are you asking about the chicken in the middle? Based on the photo, I would guess Blue Andalusian. How old? I guess I would lean towards rooster based on the feathers that are developing.
I would put Blue Kote on her injury as chickens will continue to peck at her injury and could kill her. I would keep her separated until she has healed enough that there is no bleeding or open wound. I would recommend using gloves because Blue Kote stains everything and is hard to get off...
We have an Austra White (Leghorn x Australorp) and she lays white eggs and produces very well (5+ eggs a week). She is one of my favorite girls and is very friendly. Not a lap chicken but has a ton of personality. I plan on getting more since I enjoy having some white eggs in the basket and I...
I think it will likely be too much size difference. I would recommend splitting the brooder so they can still see each other but unable to harm. Depending on what type of brooder you are using, you can put some type of divider.
PS I am sorry to hear about your loss from the first batch.
That really looks like a Cornish X and not a Leghorn. I hope I am wrong but I have an Austra White (half Leghorn) and she was always pretty leggy but overall a smaller bird then her brooder buddies.
