Chicken Coop Heater - Have you used this product?

I have the Cozy Coop heater and I love it. I usually will turn it one if the temps drop to 32 and lower. One thing I have found useful with the heater is help keeping the water from freezing. I place the chickens water near the heater and it will keep it thawed. I have it placed about 1 foot off...

    Eggs for sale

I would never even think of selling them for more than $3 dollars a dozen. If I get overran with eggs, I sometimes just give them away, or even sell them for a 1$ a dozen.

    Getting a little nervous.

Well, last night we went ahead and pulled the egg out to start the manual remove process and after looking closer what we thought was a pip is not. Its just a blemish on the egg. We quickly replaced the egg and this morning the egg is still moving as if the chick is moving into place to pip. We...

Sick Dog and Vet can't find the issue

I had a Siberian Husky that had some of the same ongoing symptoms. Vet never could find out what is was. Funny thing, when I moved from one house to another the symptoms stopped. No explanation, other than may be a allergy.

    Getting a little nervous.

A noon update. There is for sure a live chicken in the egg. The egg is really moving a lot now, especially when it hears us talking. Seems to like music, which doesn't surprise me. My daughter is a cheerleader and she is constantly playing music and dancing. We have a parrot named Kiwi and it...

    Getting a little nervous.

I'm awake, I had to make my morning rounds with my chickens in the coop. Well, I have to say no change. My wife tends to be more positive than me, but I think we might be losing this hatch. I did forget to mention these are mail order eggs. My wife claims to see movement in the eggs, but I'm not...

Hatching starting at 18 1/2 days

I checked the eggs this morning, really no change from last night. The pipping crack still the same size. Although, the egg moves a little bit at times. The movement is so slow you really have to watch the egg to even notice it.

Hatching starting at 18 1/2 days

I have 4 silkie eggs in my Incubator and I'm 12 hours from going on the 3 day lock down. I checked tonight 12 hours away from the lock down and sure enough one of the eggs shows signs of pipping. I have one egg with a tiny little star looking crack. So I went into lock down instantly. Should I...
