I bought a hova bator 1602N
and man that thing is all over the board as far as the temp i am going to try to rig up the stc-1000 temp controller to it and remove the wafer,
i likeits size and te automatic egg turner if not ill have to use the stc-1000 on my homemade icechest incubator
hes is probably 6 years old is that asking for too much , i know chickens can get old but i dont know about how fertile he is he still is able to keep the hens happy calls them and scratches for them but maybe he is to old :-(

i have an old rooster that still tries to top the hens but im not sure if he is not fertile or just not topping them have collected about 20 eggs from varios hens he has and only a few have been fertile

my Stc-1000 should be here Monday im excited...will be also adding another light socket to the ice chest and seeing if i can get a more even tamp throughout all of it to add more eggs of course :-)
it seems like a simple way to control the temp similar wireing, and i see that its digital, with probably more accuracy , will be ordering from ebay hopefully not too long

there symptoms are just that they are not as active and they are peeping a lot probably bc they are cold. but i did notice that some of them are like fluffy or fluffing their feather again this might be bc they are cold hopefully with sunny skies today they will warm up and do better
