    In the 2 years that I have been keeping chickens, every one of my loses have been due to cars, and this is a back road...when people throw the joke at me of why does the chicken cross the road, I tell them I do not know because mine never make it to the other side.

    the small run area is just a temporary shelter when needed, it gets reseeded when it turns to dirt. comes in handy when I need to introduce new birds since they can not get to each other.
