I love my tomatoes in a shallow pan, drizzeled with oil, spices and sprinkled with some parmesan/asiago and baked....sometimes I slice them before I bake, other times I just throw in whole, especially if they are the smaller tomatoes.

If I have a cracked egg again, I may try a breathable medical tape, or paper tape. I didn't think about it at the time, but the paper tape might be easier to get through.
There is nothing wrong with keeping him caged, fed and cared for. That way he does not endanger your flock. If your neighbor wants to get rid of him, trying posting it online here in the Buy, Sell, Trade section.

Last year I tried Black Krim and Cherokee Purple - Bothe good producers, but I prefer the smaller tomatoes, they taste less tomatoey and tend to be sweeter to me.

Congrats! I hatched a Tape Egg Yesterday. I didn't have any duct tape at hand, so I just used some clear cellophane tape. No probs whatsoever.
I noticed it was cracked abot two weeks ago, taped it up and viola, out popped the chick from under my broody yesterday. I actually had two taped...
