The Malay stag with Scoliosis had officially been culled from the flock today. He'll be tasty though. He got spoiled until the end.
He had the mutation for no preening gland, so at least I didn't have to remove one.
Question for anyone who's done it. Has anyone shipped chickens, or eggs out of Maine to a different state without NPIP? Just curious if there's a loophole like Michigan does.

Sapphire Gems are a sexlink chicken, males have barring, females are solid blue.
Plus males would have a headspot, which would be noticeable on hatchlings.
Blue doesn't breed true, & doesn't always dilute every part of the black chicken. Splash, which is a double dose of blue results in black in the feathers as well, from time to time.

I was looking at the exemption which states no inspection required. I think you looked completely over that part.
I know about the labeling, which is the safe handling part, & the fact I need to label my product as exempt, & not inspected.
