Which style of coop to build?
I had a 12x8 old shed that was my chicken coop before. But sadly I had to give my flock away because it had such a rotten roof raccoons kept getting in and killing them. Newbie!! I’m getting a 2.5 week old silkie
my feed store only sell 1 day old chicks and they dont sell them yet, this chick is 2.5 weeks so older than I could get at the store anyways. How warm does a chick that old need? What if I keep it inside my house? we keep at house around 20-22f- Shandina

Help! I need advice about hatching chick with a broody hen!
I was thinking of making a second small coop/broader for my silkie to go into once her eggs hatch beside the big coop so the chicks cant get close to the other chickens and get stepped on, but it's just chicken wire between them so they still get to know each other and can transition easier...- Shandina

right in front of mom, in the cage just laying on the bedding. What do you think these chickens are?
I got them from a man who had 75 chickens! But they were in rough shape, broken toes and peeked badly. I only got 4 from him since my favorite older one died :( She was such a sweetheart I could do anything with her. Anyways I am wondering what they are?
