I need to give a sick little serama an injection of the antibiotic Dura-Pen 100 ml and can't find the dosage. He's only one pound. I'm also seeking advice on the best area to inject my little bird.
Thanks a bunch.
Oh, she's much, much lighter than that. That's a beauty. Mine are pet quality which is fine with me but I always like to know what I have. Thanks for the help, I'm going with blue, they seem a lot lighter from my google search.
She was sold to me as a silver penciled plymouth rock. I've only had PR's for 5 months, they're a new breed for me so please let me know if you still think she's a bb from the below photo. I really love their sweet, inquisitive nature.
Thank you so much Donrae. I'm excited about the progression of this but have a lot to learn. Here she is. Also have one from the silver PR below but am focussing on the barred.
I'm trying to get this right but have seen some contradicting info. Hope someone can help!
Black Roo + Barred Rock Hen (Also have one that is Black Silkie roo + Silver Plymouth Rock)
1. Does this combo make a silkied cuckoo? Or is it the 2nd generation becomes the desired silkied cuckoo?
2...
I posted this in the incubation forum but it may be better suited here...
Nine days ago my chickens were wormed with Fenbendazole (safe-guard). One of the hens has gone broody and I'm guessing the eggs need to be taken away due to the medication. Can someone confirm this? Should we wait 14 days...
Mine happened the day after lockdown so that may have made it worse, not really sure. I keep it in the basement now to prevent spikes on those first warm spring days. The humidity is more consistent too.

Thanks a bunch!
Congrats to everyone with new chicks. I'm still waiting but had some serious humidity problems and a spike in temps with this round so my expectations are low. Can't help but have peep envy though!!
My 8 week old serama suddenly developed curled toes. This morning it was just one foot now it seems the other foot is starting to curl. She is eating, drinking and acting ok but can not walk.
I've considered mareks or vitamin B deficiency. Any other thoughts?
I have Durvet/ High level Vitamin...
I'm so excited, I hear tweets!! Sweet lil Buttercup is gonna be a mama. Feel like I should be doing something, I'm pacing like a 1960's new Daddy in the waiting room.
