Duck!!! Oh Yeah. I just finished my incubation with 31 chicks hatched and I have duck eggs collected and waiting to go into the incubator. I have to clean the incubator and get them started.

Not sure I can help with the dust but Sweet PDZ can help with the smell. A damp towel placed in a strategic place can help with dust supression. The air will pass through but the water will trap the dust in the towel.I have brooder envy...there it is out there. Apparently I am never satisfied. Couldn't wait for broodies...filled my coops with potentials mama birds and now. I am so Jelly you could spread me on toast. I want to stare dreamily into a box and watch fuzzy babies fall asleep on their feet. I want to slip them treats and make them look forward to my hands inside their home. I want to watch them as they sort out...Lord of the Flies style...who is on top of the PO. I want to have the shock of looking in the brooder and thinking they have all died b/c they are all lying in awkward poses only to have them hop up again and start running around when they hear my voice.

I want to witness the yoga wing and leg stretch and I want to laugh at the grab and chase game when they get their first meal worms. I want to be momma hen.
What I don't want...the dust, the smell, The pine shavings that somehow reach every corner of the house...did I mention the dust and the smell?
Sigh...
