    Silkies laying in bushes!!!

    No, they’re not on eggs, just broodies. What I have done is shut the pekins out of the run into the enclosed free range area today and left the silkies in the run so they have the coop all to themselves. Hopefully the silkies will discover that they need to lay in the coop! Many thanks :)

    Thank you so much. The pekins are broody at the moment so maybe they are feeling scared to go in the coop to lay? They lay their eggs in the morning, usually quite early, so I will keep them in their run until about midday. Many thanks for your help :)

    Hi all I have a flock of four bantams and one has a few strange yellow-ish bumps on her comb, I’m pretty sure it’s dry foul pox. Shall I quarantine her in a different coop from the others to stop it spreading? If so, for how long? Thanks!

    That could be it because I have just bought two new silkies a couple of weeks ago and they have been fighting with Blueberry and her sister quite a bit - strange that it looks pussy though?
