    Help Chick hatched last night and has a larger bump on bottom??

    One of our chicks hatched last night and there is larger bump somewhat raw on his bottom. What may this be? I will try to post a picture if I can get one, he is moving all around and fluffy but the bottom looks a bit different than the others. Suggestions? Thanks

    Humidity dropped a little over night when I went in to check today. was at 46%, I added more water (through a straw) as I didn't want to open. it is back up to 62% hope it won't hurt the little chicks..

    I have 2 chicks about 1- days old.. we had been keeping them in a cardboard box with heat lamp and temp remained around 95 A family in my class build them a new cage... very cute all sides have chicken wire- i have the heat lamp on one side where it keeping a temp of about 90 the other...

    We had 2 hatch on day 23.... nothing else about to start day 25....we just did the float test all eggs were low floaters.... I think this means they are viable.. none sank and noe floated way up high but not much movement what should I do?? Wait another day and then call it quits??? 8 more eggs...

    Thanks We think he hatched during the night or early this morning... I was hoping to bring him home tonight so he is not so lonely. This is in my classroom at school Definately more vocal now.. moving around a bit.. he seems all fluffed up i will wait until later tonight... or first thing...
