OK...I'm encouraged. My "Littles" are 15 weeks old and the Big girls are 1 1/2 years old. The babies have their own run which is next to the big girls' run. They all sleep in the chicken house separated by chicken wire. I have let a couple of the older girls in the small run to see what...
I am in agreement with everyone...We use DE and not only are there no lice, mites, fleas..but there is virtually no odor at all in the runs or coop. I love the stuff!!!
We got eggs!!! Two of them!! The EE, Harley was the first to lay at 22 1/2 weeks! Bless her little pea pickin heart!!! Now if I could figure out how to send ya'll pictures...we'd be in business!!
:weee
My chicks haven't started laying yet, but I'm sure, when they do, I'll be right there with them!! I love sitting with them in the evening ... I agree..it's cheaper than a shrink!!!
My little BR was killed yesterday by a dog. Gizmo flew over the fence into the neighbor's yard. My guestion is:
Since Giz was the Alpha girl, will someone else take that position?
My chicks are 20 weeks old....do chicks grieve?
They sure seem sad....me too.
