    Incredibly rocky soil, I need advice for the run!

    I'm not familiar with aviary netting... Is it literally netting or is it like hardware cloth? How sturdy is it? What kind of predator protection does it give? Our chicks do go in at night and have a sensor controlled coop door.

  19. Tarp rigged over the top of the run until next spring when we are planning on installing a roof. I also plan on putting together a little 3x8 foot 'deck' along the front of the coop so it's not such a jump to get inside. With the floor the coop about 6 inches off the ground and then with deep litter it's a good foot higher than the driveway.
