3 week old chicks and temperature concerns

I have 26 chicks and 7 ducks sharing a brooder and it is getting awfully cramped. I noticed one of the ducks last night was harrassing the chicks, pecking feathers and what not. The chicks turn 3 weeks tomorrow and the ducks will be 3 this weekend. The temps here are going to be a little crisp...

    Red Rangers

I just got another batch of freedom rangers which i assume is similar if not the same as red rangers. I have had great success with the previous two batches. The ones in the fall put on alot more weight up to and after 9.5 weeks. Most of the weight was in fat and feather. I ended up using...

    Diagnose this...

I dont have a picture but this is probably the closest i have found to what i discovered on one of my broilers the other day (pic below). Now if this is 90% coverage then i would say my bird had 5-10% coverage. The description refers to them as "hemorrhagic lesions". So, the broiler of mine...

Foamy eyes....respiratory? Ok to slaughter?? ASAP!

I have been doing the chickens in batches this weekend and today is the last day. I noticed two that had foamy eyes but otherwise appeared healthy and normal. I looked around and it sounds like a respiratory infection. Im not sure why it would be a problem but i just want to make sure. thanks

So i have at least 3-4 weeks to control their diet. They get a good quality feed from countryside organics and i supplement with...
