I’m sorry I haven’t been on here the past few days… I’ve been focusing on school, and my AP Gov grade has gotten better.
I’ll try to catch up pretty soon, but tonight is NOT the night. I got three hours of sleep last night because of homework for my literature class…
Anyways, I was planning on...
Twofers:
Maddison (the black one) is the one that got hit by the car, but the Wyandotte is still alive.
Any name suggestions? She is the only rose comb free ranger that has a tail right now… She is a lot sweeter than the others and runs up the stairs if she thinks I have food.
Mugs Monday:
My porcelain d’Uccle chick, Blueberry. She was very sassy this morning. Little brat started “attacking” my hand, but she settled down and was being sweet in the afternoon.
I got two Polish roosters from Meyers :barnie and they were supposed to be all pullets. :he
Luckily Athens is an angel.
Nemesis was not. I am so relieved I don’t have him anymore.
I also have my suspicions that my porcelain d’Uccle is a rooster, but they are only a week or two old. I’ve been...
Pony Sunday-
A while back, I was lunging Auggie and I was petting him after I decided he had done enough. He grabbed the lunge whip out of my hand and held it in his mouth.
It was hilarious.
Most of it! My family is forcing me to go to a store kinda like TSC today, so I’m going to have to finish it once we get home.
I’m not complaining though. Rural King is amazing.
Tax: Here is another one of my Polish mix roosters comb. I call this guy Roadrunner, because the is the fastest...
My lavender orp is probably one of my heaviest chickens. Amethyst hardly ever flies, and I don’t think she even jumps up to grab treats out of my hands.
Oh! I don’t think I ever got the chance to introduce her to you all, since I got her after I left BYC.
She was being raised as a meat...
Something eggciting I realized a few minutes ago… my oldest chicken is four years old!
Today is Splotch’s hatchday! And Pastel’s… so hopefully he is having a good day in chook heaven.
Happy hatchday Splotch! I am so thrilled to have officially had chickens for four years. These past four...
Thank you! I will tell him what you said. I’m sure he will brag about it to all the other chooks. He already thinks he’s better than all of them since he’s the most colorful and my favorite.
Athens is a purebred Polish! I’ve always wondered why he is missing a comb. I got him from Meyer hatchery, so I can’t imagine that he is a mixed breed.
Two of the chicks are polish!
I will happily take reminders to finish my work. In a little while I am planning on putting my earbuds in, listening to music, and doing most of my work.
My two chicks are: White Crested Blue Polish and Porcelain d’Uccle.
My friends chicks are: White Crested Black Polish and Millie Fleur...
Here is Red. He’s a RIR x Polish, and that’s his comb.
In this photo you can see all/most of my free rangers. I have added and removed some since then.
There are six roosters, and if you zoom in you should be able to see their combs pretty well, I hope.
Two are gone now (it was supposed to be...
How are your Azure Blues doing? You rescued three of them a few years back, didn’t you? Or am I thinking of different birds?…
I bet they would be gorgeous. I have two of BBQ’s offspring and both are roosters, sadly. One is Red (who is the sweetest boy ever so far) and the other is Brisket, who...
Oh, I have eggcellent news!
I was just talking to Mom, and she said I can get back on here fully. I am setting some ground rules for myself though.
If I have homework, I will not be on here until it is done.
In fact, right now I have a ton of homework. What I will do on the weekends if I have...
Good morning!
I’ve not been out to check on them today. I woke up about an hour ago (10:30) and have been feeling under the weather.
I’ve not ridden in a while. I honestly stopped riding in November, and haven’t really ridden since. It’s probably been two years since I’ve ACTUALLY ridden...
Dad refuses to eat eggs too. He’s scared that they might be fertile, but I have made it very clear that there is no harm in eating cooked fertile eggs. I have also let him know that my Legbars, Marans, and EE’s have never been around a rooster, so the blue and dark brown eggs are safe to eat...
