    I'm so sorry! I am heartbroken for you. The only thing I kept thinking was the lightbulb. Others will know but isn't there one that has mercury or something that is poisonous with chicks? Or cedar chips in bedding? Idk. I wish I could give you a big hug.

    I have sizzles in the making too if anyone is interested. I have hatched out 4 so far and one has frizzle feathers already!! The other 3 just hatched Friday so IDK about them yet. I was hoping to set for the Easter day hatch.

    Good point. The chicks are in Tenn. about an hour away from the Lincoln county site. I think I am more worried that the state will do the same as Alabama and Georgia and restrict the movement of poultry. I know the breeder is fantastic and I trust her. I was unaware the illness was so quick...
