    Grabbing her until everyone else is in is the next move. The coop is not the issue; she has lived there with five other chickens her whole life without problem. The run is 20x10 ft.

    She's a Blue Andalusian, still laying, never gone broody, second in the pecking order behind the oldest hen and she never goes into the coop unless she's laying, going to sleep, or if it's super cold out.

    I agree that the one is too close to the wall. I think I will redo them mostly because I'm OCD and it will drive me nuts! The chickens have not been in the coop yet because we still need to get it in place and attached to the run.

    I just bought a new coop and the roosts are not parallel to the ground, meaning they are slanted. The also cross a bit at one end. Do you think the chickens will like this? I only have three, but they do roost to sleep.

    I live in Colorado and my girls are just fine. The only heat we provide is to keep their water from freezing. They like snow! I have a BO, Austrolorp, and an EE.

    Odd question here. Do roosting bars have to be level? I bought a new coop and the two roosting bars are at an angle. Not a seriously drastic angle, but not level. Should I pull them out and level them?

    Pardon my ignorance, but what is a 410? Since my chickens have a continuous feeder, they have access all the time to feed. Do they eat enough in the morning to pull the feeder out later?

    I understand that she needs to be away from the other two hens. I have broken a broody in my chicken jail, so I'm clear on the process. I'm mostly confused now because the bullying isn't consistent. I will try chicken jail for a few days.

    Fingers crossed, she has been back with her sisters in the coop and run for a second day and all is well! No running to the box, but no laying either. One step at a time!

    Day three almost completed. She's in the run with the others at the moment. We built them a huge extension onto the existing run area and she's learning the ropes. I'm keeping an eye on her. If she heads for the box, it's back to lock-up! Please let this be it!
