I just bought a new coop and the roosts are not parallel to the ground, meaning they are slanted. The also cross a bit at one end. Do you think the chickens will like this? I only have three, but they do roost to sleep.

Do you have a photo? How slanted are they? I have a roost that's a tree branch so in spots it's slanted a bit

The longer roost looks to close to the wall for them to roost on and as for the slanted one I think the chickens would be too off balance. I would redo them if it was my coop. Have you put one of your chickens on the roost to see if they stay or immediately get off?
Maybe some with more experience will also offer there opinion

I agree that the one is too close to the wall. I think I will redo them mostly because I'm OCD and it will drive me nuts! The chickens have not been in the coop yet because we still need to get it in place and attached to the run.
